We will. And the US can have a meltdown all they want, other countries are free to add/increase tariffs for products they import for any reason they like, despite what it might do to global economy.

However, it's not the full picture either. Just look at how tariffs and other means were used against Russia recently in the Russo-Ukrainian war. Tariffs, along with sanctions and other means, were imposed to hurt the exporter.

Well damn. This went from constructive to vitriol REAL quick 😆. Let me just say that yes, Charles, you are correct. These are certainly some of the side effects tariffs have on the global economy.

But China is one of our key adversaries right now. So despite who's president, yes, tariffs should be high. This should be a bipartisan issue and is not fair to compare in this context.
