Green Arrow #25 continues the momentum. I have been dying for more Ollie and Green Arrow Fam interaction, and I am so happy to get a Roy and Ollie centric issue. Chris Condon and Montos now tackling corporation and drug addiction. 👀👀. The art is stunning! Cover by Taurin Clarke.

Exquisite Corpses 1-2 has been one of my favorite indies to release this year. James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh have crafted a real horror thriller event series filled with great action and suspense.

It’s John Wick meets The Purge. Love it! Highly recommend it!

I picked up The Horizon Experiment TPB to support this amazing initiative, speared by @pornsak.bsky.social! As an Asian comic book fan, I rarely see diverse POC led books on the shelves! Hopefully, all or any of these one shots continue! Buy the TPB if you love creator driven, genre writing!

Mr. Terrific Year One #1 was excellent! Love the stripped back look into Michael Holt’s past burden with grief! Al Letson’s writing really impressed me! It’s gritty and grounded.

I love how stylized Valentino De Landro’s art is! Can’t wait for more!

Chris Condon and Montos’ Green Arrow is a top 5 DC mainline ongoing.

A good conclusion to a riveting political arc about the abuse of power and those that suffered from it. Montos’ art flows seamlessly.

For GA Fam fans, I think you will be happy about the next arc!

Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 lives up to the hype. Deniz Camp is truly a star in our industry.

The issue is thought-provoking, zany, and wacky the only way a comic can be.

Javier Rodriguez’s art and color is phenomenal. Adds depth and a sense of mystery to the whole plot!

Caught up on Chris Condon and Montos' Green Arrow run with issue 22. Man, this might be my favorite DC mainline ongoing. It riveted with political intrigue!
Love how Condon is leaning into Oliver's liberalism. The timeliness of corporation taking advantage of the working class.

Absolute Batman #6 was a tout de force. Absolute Batman is a unit of raw strength and power. Nick Dragotta continues to amaze me. The flashback scenes between Martha and young Bruce was my favorite part of the whole issue. Showing that hope shines in darkness.

Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Javier Rodriguez are doing excellent work on Batman and Robin. A gothic, horror book that is pushing the envelope of Bruce and Damian's relationship. Love the #18 and #19

Just read Absolute Batman #5, and I think this might be my favorite issue thus far. It’s action-packed to the brim, showcasing the savagery of the Absolute Batman. It’s also vulnerable and heartbreaking at the same time, watching Bruce stand up to the system! Beautiful.

But based on the ending of the first issue, it seems Aquaman plays a large role in the arching story of DC ALL IN, which excites me. Going to be patient

The lack of Mera, Jackson, and Atlantis did disappoint me too. They are just as important to the Aquaman world as Arthur! So to see them sideline in the first issue and barely in any panels disappoints me.
January 17, 2025 at 10:13 PM
I enjoyed Aquaman #1! Jeremy Adams has a great voice for Arthur! I like the approach to Arthur being so overwhelmed with his multiple roleN John Timms art is grand in scale, which is perfect!

Ultimate Wolverine #1 is fantastic!

Chris Condon knocks it out of the park. The world-building of the Eurasian Republic is fascinating with the mutant liberation movement

Alessandro Cappuccio’s art adds a layer of gritty violence while showing the hidden humanity behind Logan!

Man…. how is every issue of Absolute Batman the best issue yet?

This shit is amazing

Absolute Wonder Woman #3 blew me TF away! It’s easiest the best issue of the entire Absolute line.

Love how the issue highlights Diana’s compassion, teamwork, and her idealistic view on humanity.

What great representation of disability too. Heart-wrecking

Phillip Kennedy Johnson just gets the Bruce and Damian relationship.

The struggle of Bruce wanting to know more about his teenage son. Damian wanting an opportunity to explore what he wants in life.

This is good stuff.

Absolute Batman #3 continues the momentum! It really confronts the big question: does Bruce Wayne need money to be Batman?!

The Batmobile scenes feel like something out of a Mission Impossible series! Nick Dragotta continues to blow me away! Scott Snyder, you my 🐐!

Was hyped for Green Arrow #18 based on word of mouth and it delivered!

I love the voice that Chris Condon gives to Ollie & his leftist ideology. Immediately a fan

Adriano Lucas’s colors and Montos’ art makes this one of the prettiest comics.

The premise feels very timely 😭

Absolute Wonder Woman #2 continues to the momentum! Kelly Thompson nails the dynamic between Steve and Diana!

I love how strong and vocal Kelly writes Diana. So refreshing!

The way Hayden Sherman draws Wonder Woman gives off a sense of power! Love how big and tall she is.

Finally found the time to read Jason Aaron and Rafa Sandoval’s Absolute Superman #1 and it’s easily my favorite debut issue of the Absolute line.

I love the theme of classism and gentrification that Aaron infuses. It makes the signing Champion of the Underdog more true.

I don’t normally watch horror as I am a gigantic pussy. Smile 2 blew me away. The thrills and sense of despair was a rollercoaster ride! Naomi Scott is so strong as the lead, showing off fear, sincerity, and a desperation. She needs to BLOW UP ASAP. Parker Finn’s ability to world build is amazing.

One thing that I appreciate about Absolute Batman is how badass and cheesy it is. Only in comics can you find Batman burning a building to match his cowl and a 20 foot dump truck as a car lol.

Really embracing the classic cheesy element of superheroes in a modern way

We are in for all-timer. Finally read Absolute Batman #2! It’s even better than the first issue. Love the character work of Bruce and the classic rogues. I love that they are a big friend group. You get hints of who they are going to be in the future. The art is raw and powerful

Finally found time to read Black Lightning. I throughly enjoyed it. A great introductory to who Jefferson Pierce is as a father and Black Lightning. Brandon Thomas does a great job of highlighting his and the family’s importance in the DCU. Fico Ossio’s art is stunning.
