Enjoying malts on this magical corner of the East Neuk of Fife.
I was a member for one year a couple of years ago. On average I do like their bottlings quite a lot, probably one of my favorite indies, but I just don't buy (or even drink) that much to justify the membership. During that year I bought 3 of their bottles and visited the Queen St venue once.

I absolutely love this bottle. The 11yo that came after is good, but not quite the same.

More old school than I thought, everything is done on site other than malting, they even have a cooper. They told me they don't chill filter or add coloring to the core range, which is a bit surprising considering it's all 43% abv.

really? 57.4% 18yo? definitely not what I thought.

Dram 5
Finish: quite long, with the burnt rubber note persisting.
Again, I prefer the nose than the palate. I think this will be a 3 as well.

Dram 5
Palate: whoa, powerful. Burnt rubber, quite salty but also a bit sweet, seaweed, beef jerky.

Dram 4
Finish: rather short, with the sweet flat coke note lingering for a bit.
I'll give it a 3 (more of an average of nose 4 and palate 2).

Dram 4
Palate: a bit thin tbh, kind of a letdown as I liked the nose. Mildly sweet, flat coke, tarragon.

that quickly fades*

Dram 3
Finish: quite short, very short in fact. A sweet and spicy note that fades quick.
I'm not sure how to score it, as it is certainly pleasant. But I think it lacks a punch, which they are trying to amend with a wet active cask. I think this will be a 2.

Dram 3
Palate: approachable palate as well. Very sweet, maybe exceedingly so. More sultanas, candied nuts, caramel, toffee, dry vanilla pods, cinnamon biscuits (a classic in Spain, not sure here).

Dram 2
Finish: long enough finish, with a rich sweet raisin/sultana lingering note.
Decent dram, not stunning but no complaints either. I'll give it a 3.

Dram 2
Palate: no vinegar on the palate, that's good. Raisins, cinnamon, very juicy. Clear sherry influence.

Dram 1
Finish: a bitter herbal note lingers.
Clearly not a dram for me. I read people say it's grain, that could explain it, I don't have much experience with grain – though the ones I tried were way more creamy and pleasant. It scores a 1.

Dram 1
Palate: overly burnt caramel, liquorice, cheap minty candy, cold syrup flavoring. And quite bitter.

It is sad, but it was a weird one in terms of tours and stuff. They were mostly aiming for the premium experience with tours at >£100 — other than the standard one, but 30 quid for getting new make and standard offerings from their sister distilleries wasn't a great deal either.
