Michael did technically re-record I’ll Be There as an adult. Not to featured on a studio album though, but instead in a 1993 Pepsi in which Michael sings with his younger self. As for Never Can Say Goodbye? I guess the closest we got was Motown 25.

Not only that but a fake track list has been shared as well, which includes the track It Doesn’t Really Matter. Although this song was being worked on at the time it has never comforted to be considered for Decade, and eventually turned into Who Is It.

Music & Me (the only Motown track featured on the album) appears on both of the DAT tracks from 1990 and 1992. Seemingly the “Decade” gimmick was eventually dropped after a number of missed deadlines, and now spanned from the early 70s to early 90s.

The leaked DAT track list for the 1980 - 1990 version of the album only includes Heal The World as a new track, as well as Come Together which had been heard previously in the film Moonwalk.

Work on Decade continued up until May 1991, evolving in Dangerous as there was now enough new material to release instead. Decade was seemingly going to continue after Dangerous but was once again scrapped due to the 1993 allegations.

He wanted to focus on the newer material he was working on, like Heal The World. Another song worked on at this time was Man In Black. This song first became public knowledge after it was reported about in a British magazine:
