lot of discussion on twitter about pens so I thought I’d bring it over here. the best pen imo is the rotring 600. all metal barrel, amazing construction, nearly indestructible, writes smooth. stock ink is good but I like to replace with ohto gel ink pen refill. also love rotring’s mechanical pencil

heres the books I’m currently working thru: How to Prove It for the proofs foundation, mathematics for machine learning for the linear algebra and technical foundation for ML, and the Marker because I’m obsessed with logic, model theory, and computability

grades are in, survived my first quarter as a TA now I can finally write

just finished nkrumah’s consciencism, great read overall but really loved the logic/set theory section at the end. very creative use of logic to try to encapsulate ideas of liberation and dialectical movement. need to sit with the deductions and go over some of the technical details again
