as a slow-moving creature, they are often seen simply as trees in passing. still, there's something unmistakably sentient about them, if wanderers through the woods take the time to look a bit closer

my version of a kelpie! just like the bladderwort that this creature is inspired by, this creature vacuums in water by expanding their balloon-like heads, trapping small fish and other creatures inside their translucent bodies
