It’s #BannedBooksWeek and @solidstatebooksdc.bsky.social will be hosting the famed Banned Wagon this Weds 10/8, 3-7pm. They will showcase a selection of 30 banned books and distribute free copies (while supplies last). Take action, save our stories, and preserve First Amendment rights!

Those dudes know nothing. Half of the world’s gamers are women and girls. Female characters helped popularize gaming and grow the industry when it was small and niche and risky for investors. They demonstrated broad appeal, redefined genres, and elevated strategy and gameplay. More please!

I’m sure you’ve seen the data. DC Council’s own Budget Office agrees that parking garages are a huge drain on the investment. We can safeguard DC’s financial exposure, align w/climate goals, grow DC, reduce costs, and support residents by reducing & relocating parking, and adding metro.

Police are seeking help in identifying the perpetrators of a July 5 homicide on the 2000 blk of Benning Rd NE, which could be an anti-trans hate crime. $25,000 reward. Such an awful incident, RIP Dream.
