Here for the fun creative things.
Peter David was the first comic book writer whose name I recognized and saw more stories because I liked his schtick.

Grateful I read A Fire Story.

For those NOT affected, I highly recommend to give yourself brevity to a complex long lasting situation.

To those impacted by LA fires or know someone, I cannot directly relate but seeing how others cope and process was huge for my own setbacks and mental health.
A Fire Story by Brian Fies.

Solid heartbreaking accounting of a community losing so much during a major fire.

#LibraryFins Orwell by Pierre Christin and Sebastian Verdier. Dug the art and real life quotes peppered in.

Read @jamesthefourth.bsky.social The Closet not too long ago and still something I ruminate on as a still fairly new dad.

Eerie mood and original theme.

Started @joelchristiangill.bsky.social FIGHTS last night and went to bed with parenting worries.

Finished reading next to my son and felt a deep gratitude for the vulnerability, art, dialogue and comic book medium.

Another library find that will get my own copy.
