i'm like if your average arthurian knight was born in the 21st century and had zero physical strength with all the sudden bursts of bloodlust intact

also the outcome of the narrative for the stranger was a disappointment in a way, which is, again, a writing issue and it has nothing to do with the actors. but some of the choices were incoherent and it felt as if they added or cut things at the last minute. it was just lacking.

Haters can slander this show all they want but one thing is undeniable: they're doing such an incredible job with Sauron and now makes it clear why the whole freakin' LotR franchise is named after him, and re-establishes him as one of the most iconic villains in pop culture history.

very excited for how they're going design rivendell / imladris btw. it has the potential to be one of the most beautiful settings! and i appreacite them showing us the dog from eregion was fine and survived the siege. thank you.
now i'm just in mourning cause i'll have to wait one year or more for the series to be back and despite my previous criticism (mostly focused on the writing performance), i did love the show and now i don't know what to do with myself

something very small but i thought it was important: i think it was a very clever and delicate display of elrond's character, of his very essence, to have him beg for the scrolls and papers to be spared from the fire. i was nodding like "yes, that's my elrond".

btw it was "heal yourself!!!!!!!!!" in the very same tone as "this is sparta!!!!!" with the kick included i physically cringed. it was so silly and cheap.
not gonna lie, some of the dialogues in the season finale made me cringe as if i was watching something out of the MCU

and for a character one could argue is extremely hard to deal with not only because of who and what sauron is as an inhuman being but also because of the obvious expectations and the pressure that comes from taking on a very known role. charlie vickers, you are the moment.
wonderful, wonderful acting of charlie vickers too. i was gasping through most of his scenes, there was something very raw, morbid and fascinating in him. such a talented actor, it was refreshing to see a relatively unknown actor delivering one of the best performances in the series
