Judge Merchant failed the citizens of the United States. He had the chance to clearly review the charges and what the sentence would have been if the felon wasn’t Trump.He just put 30 minute stamp on it in a way that will leave Trump supporters gleefully ignorant of the seriousness of the charges.

The baby boomers, of which I am one, are greatly responsible for our current situation. The next generations are going to have to spend the rest of their lives cleaning up the mess. They will be unable to do this with our current government. It’s past time to help them.

Our current politicians are too focused on keeping their power and increasing their personal finances. They refuse to step down and we are left with out of touch elders who are inept and uninformed.

I believe that was have to move away from a United States ideal. Red states can join together to form a conservative country as blue states can create a union with like, liberal ideas. The great experience has failed and we need to move forward with new ideas.

Four years ago I was a newly retired teacher. I was getting ready for a walk on a lovely winter day. I was about to turn off my tv when I saw what was going on in Washington. I took my sneakers off and watched the exact moment that our country was destroyed.

As a teacher I taught my students a new patriotic song every month. They sang the songs so proudly to their families, including grandparents who always cried. I’m so glad I’m no longer in the classroom. It breaks my heart that I wouldn’t do this. I no longer feel any pride in being an American.

I met my partner online. First and only man I responded to. We’ve been together 6+ years. He wore a Harris shirt, listens to me play the guitar (poorly) and just got a Lowe’s card, because, no more Home Depot. He’s a small farmer in NH, over 70. Blue dot in red area. There are good people out there.
