-42°F this morning with the wind chill! So glad my brother is offering me rides to work for this week and next week. The elements would kill me on my MTB if I tried.

First day getting hit by the super cold northern bs. Should have added a couple of layers but other than that it was fine. It's supposed to warm up over the next few days but it's a week or so until the polar vortex drops on us. Then the real challenge begins.

Today is what I would call a perfect winter day. 20+ degrees, little to no wind and clear skies!

North Dakota Winters typically suck really bad in late Jan/Feb. I will enjoy the good days when I get em'.

Getting back into Chess, it's been ages since I've played. Probably even longer since I was "good" at chess. Playing Chess Ultra on PSN, it's awesome that they track ELO score on the game. I've never actually had a game I've played scored before.

Spending my Sunday playing some video games, podcasts and cuddles from Ace.

Still trying to figure out the direction of this year. I went out looking at apartments with my girlfriend yesterday, A LOT of moving pieces this month and a risk of ending up homeless again.

I'm probably overreacting those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it indefinitely.

2026 is going to be a great year on my bike. My daily commute to work is going to be brutal with the Midwest winter and I am up for the challenge!
