Ping Wendy and Richard! They seem to be fairly reachable these days, and I cannot think of someone more qualified to write the game that really does EQ justice. We've got the old Chaosium game, but the RPG design technology wasn't there - or, rather, it was, but Pendragon never got enough attention.

ElfQuest reference! Long ago I noodled around with an EQ hack for AW1e, which seemed to fit its community-centric vision, but it never cohered. You've got me thinking about those horrifying scenes of cavemen attacking the High Ones as they emerge from the Palace, and clever neanderthals as AW threat

My tastes are simple: I crave a sourdough "batard" loaf every week, and never get tired making them. One of those pandemic hobbies that stuck around! It also appears to have attracted a friend today, which is how I ended up with a baby lizard in one of my bowls just now 😂

Missed you too - here's some sourdough starter! We crossed paths at PAX and Big Bad over the years; your kindness and grace are an inspiration , especially in the heart of the pandemic (thank you for your ongoing mask advocacy, btw). Hoping the kids I run Blades for can meet you and yours one day :)

Some of the best advice I was ever given is that when you want to know someone's true character or intentions, you look at what they've done and are doing, and let that speak for them. SoundCloud's actions are saying, "We aren't doing this now, but we can whenever we want." They cannot be trusted.

It may change votes in that it may cause people who wouldn't have voted, *to* vote - probably mostly people who are now incensed that their god-king was attacked. Time will tell whether their attention span holds until November.

Right? It's been very strange to see leftist friends I thought were allies being gleeful over the nonstop Biden doomering, as though they want him to fail. Like... folks, I don't want the president to be Ancient Of Days either, but Trump's party literally wants me dead!

Glad it worked! It’s been heartening to see folks like you and Meguey Baker still taking this seriously, hopefully you beat this thing fast and recover smoothly :)

You can definitely get paxlovid, and *should*, but you may have to go through channels other than your doctor. Sesame Care can probably help, and Pfizer's "PAXCESS" program is designed for this. As another person vigorously avoiding COVID, I dread the day those programs stop being available :(

As one of those people who will not do well with COVID, albeit not a wedding guest, I say: do not soften that language, because you *mean* it, and people will take the slightest excuse to say "Oh but they're not REALLY serious about this, it's just a formality."

Just want to say how much I appreciate this protocol. As someone for whom COVID is still a clear and present danger to my health even after vaccinations, with even more vulnerable family members, it's good to see someone taking precautions when the rest of the world seems to have given up on us

There's virtually nothing like this, I know because I'm currently writing one to fill the void. That said, the definitive generational RPG is Pendragon. It does literally everything you're asking of it, and is also regarded as one of the greatest RPGs ever written. Burning Wheel can also do it well.
