Gentoo was great for purpose-built deployments, just gotta automate the package handling to avoid cyclic dependencies later on. The on-prem Gentoo application servers I built for clients all those years ago are still chugging away happily. I work almost exclusively with RHEL and AL2 these days.

For sure. With rare exception, a good coffee should be enjoyed black. (A rich-bodied Dak Lak benefits from a tiny bit of sugar to bring out the chocolate finish.) But if you have to add a bunch of bullshit to it to make it palatable (read: Starbucks)... it wasn't worth drinking to begin with.

I have too much respect for the roasting process to go anywhere near the charcoal briquettes they call beans. Costa Rica has a lovely array of varietals, but sadly Starbucks takes a large percentage of the export and burns the shit out of it, losing any unique notes characteristic of the region.

Silverhawks. Absolutely loved it. Still have all the toys. But some things are best viewed through nostalgia goggles, because I tried to watch it again after 30+ years and it is trash. Pure hot unwatchable garbage.
