BREAKING NEWS! We’ve got Loquats!

It’s official, Tucker has been “Tucked” (aka neutered aka he also fell asleep while I took this photo while he was weaning off his anesthesia wondering about the meaning of life)

Tonight I had to give my 65lb Golden Retriever his monthly Simparica treatment. It took two humans, encouragement from his canine sister, chicken and lots of slobber before he finally took it.

He then proceeded to eat a toilet paper roll and 🥦

Next month: new plan 🤨

Have to say as a teacher I’ve had more nightmares about missing homework assignments or getting bad grades than I ever did as a student.

Y’all these two side dishes won Thanksgiving in our house- Wild Rice Pilaf and delicata squash roasted with kale. Both vegan, and both are officially going to be part of the side dish rotation for every holiday 🤗

Today I asked my ESOL students to mention someone they were thankful for. Lots of "My parents, friends, siblings, teachers, celebrity crushes etc." One student says "Oh my pen, because I like to write!" I say "Great! what about a person?" the pause and say "No, oh!"

Good News: My dogs respond to some basic obedience commands.

Other News: I have not taught them “Dracaris” yet

I think she’s trying to tell me something. Probably that I need to fold that laundry in the background 🤔
