In the last 15 months, I have been unemployed for 13 of them. I have 700+ applications sent and 50+ interviews, but no offers. I have encountered sexism, ageism, fake jobs, employment scams, and interviewers so ignorant of laws and appropriate communication skills I was taken aback. UGH!

I don't post a lot here - I mostly lurk in the shadows. But I need to vent. I've been unemployed for 8 months. Unemployment $ ran out 5 months. We are trying to survive on just my husband's income, but it's not enough. Tried applying for assistance but the shutdown closed those doors. Fuck tRump.

I don't sleep at night. I get maybe 4 or 5 hours of sleep early morning to around noon, but trying to fall asleep is, for me, like Sisyphus pushing the boulder.

Long-COVID is a thing. It disrupts your life, takes over your day-to-day existence. It controls your energy and ability to participate in what matters to you. So to the man who told me it's"all in your head," and I'm "just lazy" - I give you a giant middle finger.

Maybe it's the anxiety of watching our government implode. Maybe it's the anxiety of moving in my ess than a week. Maybe it's the anxiety of a job I'm not really enjoying. Whatever it is, my chest feels like an obese rhino is sitting on it.

If you’ve already started calling it the Gulf of America instead of the Gulf of Mexico, you should have no trouble with someone’s preferred name and pronouns.

Quick note before you you choose to follow me: if you have zero original posts, you've followed 2,000 people and only 32 have followed back, chances are good your getting blocked by me.

Went through an ENG (Electronystagmography) today. It involves little electrical jolts and needles put into muscles to listen to how the muscles transmit electrical impulses. It was overall quite uncomfortable. The good news is it ruled out some of the nastier options for what is wrong with me.

One of the things I love most about being on Blue sky is the diversity of people I've become acquainted with. This is not an echo chamber of ideas or information I believe in, but a unique blend of people and ideas from everywhere. I'm so grateful to all the participants who have connected with me!
