If you were to account for color blending tricks that developers used back in the day to take advantage of CRT TVs, all these consoles could technically have cheated additional colors that weren't actually there, maybe it is how some people remember MD and SFC games looking so vibrant.

Just like the Mega Drive, the SFC actually displays less colors than the PCE does, 256 (from a 32,768 color palette) compared to 482 (from a 512 color palette), so while it has a wider range of colors to pick from, it just can't look as detailed.

That SFC port of Bomberman '94 did actually materialize as Super Bomberman 3, if you look closely at both games they share a lot in common.

The Genesis actually can only display up to 61 colors at once, compared to the PC Engine's 482 colors (although they both have 512 color palette). I find it fascinating how the PC Engine was ahead of the Genesis in some aspects despite technically being an 8-bit machine.

I sold it for 600 bells...

Well, it's more of a minigame that you download from the GameCube game onto the GBA, like the DS' Download Play but with a physical cable between the consoles.
You could carry around your town's island on the GBA and any rewards you get from it could be transferred back into the main game.

With any tools you've left behind they can gather items for you, some rare items and extra bells can be obtained this way.
You could also trade islands with anyone who was also carrying their own island on their GBA, of course the chances of that happening nowadays are astronomically small...

Also, found a hack that forces the game into widescreen, it stretches some UI elements but the actual 3D models stay intact.
