There is no moral obligation to tolerate racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc. people who are trying to take away the rights of other people and being cruel to others. They have already broken the social contract.

#GooglyEyeTravels visited Sacre Couer (spelling?) yesterday. We climbed ~300 steps to the dome for this fabulous view. Proud of my old, fat body making it up there and down. #Healthatanyweight

Long day. Notre Dame gift shop. Pantheon. Yarn store. Lunch at a "traditional French cuisine" restaurant. Catacombs. Museum of Science & Meausurement. Rain. Dinner at an Italian place. "Home". ~18K steps, lots of stairs, wet socks, blisters.

Googly Eye visited the Arc d' Triumphe & a bridge over the Seinne with a view to the Eiffel Tower. Also went into the Tomb of Napoleon but no pictures.
Now sitting in a cafe while the boys see army museum stuff.
Later walked to the Eiffel Tower. Beautiful day here in Paris.

Thoughts so far about Paris:
1. It's not a clean city. Gum, cigarette butts, & other detritus litter the streets and sidewalks.
2. There is a visible problem with unhomed people (why did autocorrect just change "unhomed" to "unloved"? 🤔 ).
3. Lots of bikes and walkers but also a lot of cars.

In other news, i ordered a hybrid (electric assist) trike. I live 2 miles from work, and I've been saying since the beginning I should/could bike to work, but I hate my bike. So I finally took advantage of black friday sales, and took the plunge. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I'll update!

I got a tree today!!
It's a redbud to provide summer shade for my living room. We also got plantings to stabilize the slopes on the north side of the house. And had our old rhodadendrum(sp?) pruned and weeded.

#NiagaraFalls has always been a family favorite destination spot. On the CA side, we can park at our hotel and walk or take public transportation everywhere. There is so much to do, something for everyone.
