Speed reader and ready to give unsolicited book suggestions always. The library is my happy place but as long as I have a book in hand anywhere will do.
#ewgc Time for me to run. Happy Thanksgiving to all my book loving friends! My book to hide in has been THE ASTRAL LIBRARY by Kate Quinn. Of course, when you need it most a magic library lets you hide in your favorite book! An ode to librarys and so much stinking fun! @librarylovefest

#ewgc Last but not least is CANTICLE. A girl runs from marriage to join a rebellious order of women in 1300 Bruge. Of course she and they are in danger from the wrath of the church. Fascinating women and the birth or death of a potential saint.

#ewgc Really enjoying Paula McClain's SKYLARK. A dual timeline of Paris in the 1600's where a rebellious woman longs to become a dyer and a young doctor in 1939 helps Jewish families. Both feature the hidden tunnels of Paris. @simonandschuster.bsky.social

#ewgc Need a spicy romance? FUNDAMENTALS OF BEING A GOOD GIRL has the coworker, hot nanny, hunky divorced dad professor vibe. Hot enough to melt your marshmallows and great writing and wit. @librarylovefest.bsky.social

#ewgc A SPELL FOR DROWNING is a dark tale of sister drama, myths and monsters on the old Cornish coast. Moody and marvelous. @prhlibrary.bsky.social

#ewgc A powerful historical tale of government overreach ,
WOMEN OF A PROMISCUOUS NATURE where women were picked off the street and put into institutions for looking like they were immoral or loose. @kensington-library.bsky.social

#ewgc Two time travel books are twice the fun - ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN follows a witty Guinevere back to Camelot and GEORGE FALLS THROUGH TIME - man at his lowest jumps to 1300's and finds love and a dragon. Both were pure fun. @kensingtonbooks.bsky.social @librarylovefest.bsky.social

Just finished two books involving teen drama/crime WHAT BOYS LEARN about a counselor mom who fears her son's role in the death of two classmates and HOW TO COMMIT A POST COLONIAL MURDER where two sisters rid themselves of a problematic uncle. Dark nail biters ! @prhlibrary.bsky.social #ewgc

#ewgc Enjoyed THE LIST OF SUSPICIOUS THINGS where a group of young kids try to find a serial killer so one of them won't have to move. They learn more about the adults around them than they thought. Dark but well written. @sbkslibrary.bsky.social

#ewgc Looking for a fun time travel jaunt? THE ONCE AND FUTURE QUEEN takes a woman from the present who Merlin whisks back to the past to save Camelot. This only works if she remembers Guineviere's memories. Magic, laughter and a very non-demure queen. @kensingtonbooks.bsky.social

#ewgc Really enjoyed THE GALLAGHER PLACE. Coming of age where siblings come home years later (sense a theme?) to solve what happened to their childhood friend and they may not like what they find. Powerful ending.
October 2, 2025 at 8:18 PM
#ewgc A BOX FULL OF DARKNESS is an eerie sibling ghost story. Summoned by their dead little brother's ghost, the grown kids return to their childhood home to solve who/what is behind bad stuff happening in the town. Creepy with a shot of sibling bickering! @prhlibrary.bsky.social

#ewgc Just finished DETOUR featuring a billionaire who sends a team of astronauts - some NASA, some civilians to one of Jupiter's moons. Let's just say it doesn't go according to plan.
