For context, Brignoni-Ponce has been cited in 4,300 cases. As Kevin Johnson explains in a brilliant 2009 article, Brignoni-Ponce himself was born in Puerto Rico--evidence that immigration agents are not great at determining who looks Mexican. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

They keep mentioning that some people "regret" getting the treatment. This is also true for every single medical treatment. E.g. my mom was mad at herself for going to the hospital when she had a minor heart attack because it was "no big deal" and the hospital stay delayed her beach vacation a day.
