The trade made no sense after Nico was watching Luka carried the team in the playoffs last year, playing hurt and hitting big shots. The league is not about needing a dominant big man to be a title contender. It's about having multiple players that are shot creators and spacing the floor.

With Luka and Kyrie out, Lively has to be more assertive in looking for his shots if his defenders sagging off him with 5 ft or more cushion. He can't just try to look to pass it and waste time on the shot clock. If he is a scoring threat, it will open things up for everyone else on offense.

Just felt like the Mavs didn't match the physicality that OKC was playing with. There were too many turnovers that were self-inflicted.
