The algorithm really loved this one. Fewer impressions than I have subscribers 🤣

It's temporary, im just trying to get past the growing out phase!

I just really hated F1 that much 😂

No but seriously, went in to both with low expectations, finished GT and said 'despite it's issues I actually enjoyed that'. Finished F1 and said 'I'm trying to find something nice to say about anything other than the visuals and I'm coming up empty'

Again, I'm super glad Will came out on the right side of this, it's definitely a win for F1 youtubers on the whole, but I do wonder if this is part of a longer strategy from Liberty to give us all a bit of a false sense of security

If others now follow his example who haven't been so obviously the subject of DMCA abuse, we might see more and more channels be taken down who become the target of Liberty's scorched earth approach. Particularly those that are more analytical and require longer shots to support their analysis

Will was also risking losing his whole channel by filing the objections which was EXTREMELY brave, and now that he's done it it might embolden others to do the same which, to be clear here I am not ragging on will he did the right thing and I'm super glad he won the battle, but...

Not that I think YouTube would ever revoke the ability for them to file copyright claims or strikes, more that it is one of those instances where if a lawsuit WERE to be filed then it would be a slamdunk loss for Liberty and making the whole thing go away is the smarter thing to do risk wise
November 12, 2025 at 8:49 PM
The thing about this whole thing is they also had a bunch of blatantly illegitimate claims (the Indycar videos, for instance), which I think probably gave Will a lot more leverage, as in Liberty was clearly abusing the DMCA and letting the whole lot go was probably the smarter call from them there

And even if you had the backing and resources TO fight through the legal system, there's always the risk that you become an unfavourable test case that ends up setting a precedent that puts a whole lot of other channels and content creators in a precarious position

I know a lot of people like to say things like 'this is fair use! It's transformative!' but the issue is that fair use is a LEGAL defense, not an objection that YouTube (or any other platform) will consider if you appeal the strike

Liberty knows that Joe Youtuber can't afford to fight them in court

If that just isn't the millennial experience. Glad I could make you smile before you have to go and experience the horrors

Kids these days just don't know what it's like to cram all your earthly possessions including a 21" CRT TV and a CD stacker stereo into the back of a Honda Prelude

Moving out? Lol nobody can afford that 😅

The worst part is I absolutely still own some of those halter tops and they're now back in fashion
