Almost* all IO is TTL (so can interface 3.3V logic which is 5V tolerant)
Clock, reset and NMI are CMOS... (learned the hard way)

Running at 32 MHz with 0-wait states, using fast sram (12ns) for code storage, it is pretty capable. In our applications it is connected to FPGA (which does code copy from flash to ram pre-boot) and interfacing to outside world. Early designs used proprietary backplane bus with dualport rams...

it is still standard 8-bit z80 core with couple of additional opcodes, 20-bit external address, and integrated serial ports (asci)

I have been using MSO, 4-channel scope with 16 digital channels.
If i need to measure up to 4 signals, i use scope, but when measuring something with >4 signals it is handy to have. I have also some USB logic analyzer but its lost somewhere, and it is hassle to install software
