Engineer 24h/7 ?
Ok, I fail to be friendly 24h/7, sorry for that.
Starlink should not work in russia controlled areas, but I'm not sure why the coverage is not shrunk more since 2022.
Almost as if the block/allow accuracy is hundreds of kilometers?

No-ones food money is used for "going to Mars".

After a quick calculation, less than 0,1% of the USA budget is used in Mars related activities.

NASA gets <1% of the budget. And it is useful investment.

SpaceX gets only some of that 1% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, especially when the president of the USA is friends with enemies, you can afford to cut military!
November 29, 2025 at 9:14 PM
I'm afraid it would be very expensive and again stagnate rocket improvements for another 50 years.

SpaceX is unlike any other contractor.
Some estimate that the savings just for Space Force has been ~$40B,

We do not need enemies when we have certain kind of friends.

Nonsense. And I'm not interested in Tesla. if their private profits are high enough, they do what they wish.

But about the topic:
Look at the numbers. Old government contractors waste tens of billions of tax payer money and deliver far less.

SpaceX is not implementing Apollo#2.
They are doing 10* more with ~1% of the cost.

Just compare how Orion has just managed to perform one test flight around the Moon and it has cost many tens of billions.

SpaceX has been the only company not exploding or crashing every rocket after launch.

And simply the most reliable. So far.

Hopefully Blue Origin will deliver some competition.
November 25, 2025 at 3:45 PM
vs the ozone layer.

And China use poison as a rocket fuel and continue to drop rocket stages on populated areas.

SpaceX has less nice things as well, like Elon and the idea of 42 000 starlink satellites.

Attachment show SpaceX vs the next guy. Pick up your ride?
November 25, 2025 at 3:17 PM
I wonder how inefficient and corrupted they would make SpaceX.
November 24, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Exactly!
November 24, 2025 at 8:53 PM
+this is from GAO/NASA year ago:

Back then, according to NASA, SpaceX HLS was on schedule and had delivered for all needed milestones before that.
November 23, 2025 at 8:32 AM
You do not seem to be aware that the SLS+Orion combo is at least 4 years late.

They have cost ~35 billion when they do their second TEST flight !

And you do not have a clue about the Artemis problem in general.

This helps:

November 23, 2025 at 8:07 AM
Super heavy worked already on the second flight and was approaching landing readiness on launch four.

But you cannot compare Starship with F9. As SS is a spacecraft and atmospheric lander.
November 22, 2025 at 10:24 PM
NASA buys services from SpaceX and by doing that they have saved tax payer money.

NASA needs SpaceX for human spaceflight.
November 22, 2025 at 4:37 PM
NASA pays SpaceX after a completed milestone.

For some others they also pay for failures.

Attachment show a few examples.
November 22, 2025 at 4:14 PM
You are not.
NASA does not pay for Starship failures.
Only for completed milestones / services.

But I think NASA does pay SLS+Orion failures.
November 22, 2025 at 4:05 PM
Russian N1 rocket was a good example how hard it was to test via a launch back then. Total failure of stage 1.

SX Stage1 worked OK already on the second attempt.
November 21, 2025 at 9:20 PM
So.... the obstacle built the world's most advanced and biggest rocket operator?

Not too big an obstacle, IMHO.

+👇
November 21, 2025 at 6:28 PM
The competition was less reliable and they offered less for more.

It would have been criminal to pay more for less.

Like paying 30+billion for SLS+Orion for one test flight (so far)....
November 21, 2025 at 6:07 PM
Bullshit?
November 21, 2025 at 6:01 PM
SLS is total garbage. Same for orion.

caseyhandmer.wordpress.com/2025/10/31/n...

caseyhandmer.wordpress.com/2024/10/02/s...

SaturnV was the last good rocket from NASA.
Apollo was the last good spacecraft from NASA.

They should focus in science.
November 21, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Ooops.
More from @ StarshipGazer of X.
November 21, 2025 at 1:45 PM
Damn! A lot of cool Space(X) stuff remain in X and do not flow to less nazi media like bsky.

Anyway ... v3 booster ready for some testing it seems...
