I'm catching up on the summer School Library Journal. Where are the middle-grade books? Why is a book for students in grades 2-5 listed as #MGlit? My middle school students need books!

If your school has a super exciting loud event, consider opening the library as a calming station. We did this on Friday, and the kids were so happy to have somewhere quiet to refocus. #library

We have a FID (flexible instruction day) tomorrow because of an ice storm. I'm going to post info on our eBooks and audiobooks. We need to teach kids that audiobooks count as reading! #books

Where are the middle grade books? My 6-8th graders don't want to read the upper elementary books that they read in 4th grade. Most YA is for grades 9+. They are really stuck in the middle. #mgBooks #kidlit
