Yep. When I asked for clarification it was a variation of Jony Ives and genius design.

However, I too am a "hire-able designer" and have never felt the need to used "tastemaker" in my personal brand. There are additional filters for this type of designer/leader, but I'm not sure what they'd be.

SO MANY CEOs/CPOs during my recent job hunt described needing a "tastemaker" design leader, yet their underinvestment in hiring and training practices were abysmal. Sure, a "tastemaker" can magically fix years of neglect. This is the 1st time interviewing that "tastemaker" came up ~90% of the time.
