The federal government plans to eliminate services for LGBTQ youth who call 988, the national suicide and crisis hotline, according to a Health and Human Services budget draft leaked last week.
HHS plans to cut the national suicide hotline’s program for LGBTQ youth
In February, the program received an average of 2,100 contacts per day.

I lost my father on March 25, and I lost my grandmother this morning. Life really will kick you while you’re down.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

I guess #DueProcess isn’t a thing anymore?

I really admire people who have a lot of perfumes and are really knowledgeable about scents and things like that. You love potions, I adore that.

The only thing I’ll agree with Jimbo on. IN Dems are just an offshoot of IN GOP.

Karen Tallian, the new Chair of the Indiana Democratic Party, is in favor of partisan school board races. Oh, and also: WHAT THE FUCK. I’m 100% not a Hoosier Democrat. Fucking EW. 🚮

Just thinking about how 10 Dems joined Rs to censure Al Green, then some held up black dot signs, and some wore pink, and some..etc. almost like there are multiple parties within the one. I’m not interested in being under an umbrella, I’m interested in proper representation. #RankedChoiceVotingNow

All I'm saying is, if you ran a campaign on democracy being at stake and democracy lost, isn't it time to be massively freaking out instead of doing this

Indiana GOP would secede to Putin willingly.

But Florida, just take it.

Period.

Turns out when you stop campaigning you have lots of free time, enough time to literally draft a book. I’m 50,000 words in already, and it’s infinitely more enjoyable than arguing about if education is a basic human right amongst Democrats. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Remember when #walkaway was trending about leaving the Democratic Party? I do, and now is the time to build working class parties because Ds will always be corporate owned and ran by Republican lites. #AskMeHowIKnow 🤗

Putin can’t believe his luck. Here is Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov on Trump: “The new administration is fast changing all foreign policy configurations…This coincides with our vision in many ways.”

Trump now backs dictatorship, not democracy. We cannot allow that to stand.

We are experiencing an assault on science unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in my life. It’s not one issue or another anymore, the entire institution is under attack by the most powerful individuals in the country.

This Friday, where will you be?

Clinton County, IN Democrats chose their new leadership today. If this is where the Democratic Party is heading, count me the fuck out. (This was shared from the now CURRENT Chair’s account THIS WEEK btw). Absolutely fucking ridiculous. You get what you vote for.

When you see your representatives like Jim Banks sharing articles from places like Breitbart, he knows he’s being intentionally untruthful and misleading, and it’s gross. Stay above the green line, Jimbo.

Jon Stewart recently interviewed AOC on his podcast and I loved this:

Jon: they’re maintaining the thing about the party that is ineffectual, that doesn’t do anything, yet that seems to be what they cling to most.
AOC: yes, it makes us predictable, it makes the Democratic Party highly predictable.

I know how much work being a county chair is supposed to be, and it is like having a part time job. 10-20 hours of work every week, 4 years straight.
Regardless of who is elected as chair those standards need to be upheld or we will be kicking ourselves in the ass in 10 months come an election year.

Amen to that.
I think it would make a big difference in our health if we banned Pharma ads from America like the rest of the world does.

DC isn’t going to save us from a Trumpist majority, they control everything in DC. Republicans have been in control of Indiana for the past 2 decades. The only change is bottom up.
February 23, 2025 at 2:21 AM
It has to start now.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
