Trump after watching the S&P once again crumble off his own decisions: "I have no intention of firing Powell."

Also Trump: truthsocial.com/@realDonaldT...

And don't forget him actively trying to get the court case that prevents him from firing Powell overturned: www.scotusblog.com/2025/04/will...

The "proof" from AG Bondi as to why an innocent man was deported is truly amazing.

I'll be amazed if this even gets to a trial.

Trump really out here trying to pretend the First Amendment doesn't exist. 🙄

"I am so honored to be suing 60 Minutes, CBS Fake News, and Paramount, over their fraudulent, beyond recognition, reporting." Get bent.

I used to work at The Motley Fool. If I did anything like this, I would have been fired immediately and promptly sued by the SEC and probably TMF too.

Does Trump sign his social media posts with DJT? Yes, but rarely. He ran up Newsmax's IPO 2000% off a post, this was intentional.

Yo, is anyone gonna tell Trump why all the immigrants stopped working our farms and in our factories?

I would very much like my deployed family and friends to come home to their children in one piece. #Signalgate

I would like to take a moment to point out that this photo op in El Salvador with Kristi Noem is nothing new by the Trump Admin.

This is a photo of Melania wearing a jacket reading "I don't care, do you?"

She wore it to visit detained children during Trump's first term.

Hollywood writers can't outdo the headlines that have ran every day since Trump won the election.

Trump is floating the idea of the US joining the Commonwealth of Nations. So the US can have a British king again? I... What? What is happening? Wh... Why...

I'll never understand why the folks behind PHP's Composer will not add native jsonc support.

I remember when I first started playing with Deno 2 and discovered deno.jsonc. Native support for comments? In json? PHP had me thinking that was god tier level unattainable shit. 🫣

What it feels like to get Grafana running locally with Deno 2.2's unstable opentelemetry support while you're unemployed AF but wanting to play with monitoring software.

The only thing I'm deploying these days are blog posts and unhinged tech memes. 🫠

Finally got OpenTelemetry working in Deno 2.2 and a lil Grafana "Datadog/Sentry at Home" stack running. I was missing a setting in my attempts. I am so happy right now. This just tickles my brain. I'll flush out a whole repo full of Dockerized examples soon.

How it feels to discover the FormData API after not really touching Javascript since the days of jQuery back in 2015.

My decade long annoyance of "why do CS people insist on using 'mutable' and 'immutable' when 'changeable' and 'unchangeable' is much easier to understand" has finally been answered by the javascript React documentation. 🎉

One more section done in my React course on Scrimba.

Honestly kind of glad I mostly stepped away from javascript over the last, oh, 7 years or so. It's come a long way and it's pretty neat now.
February 18, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Now that I am begrudgingly learning React in order to understand Preact so I can understand Deno's Fresh, I once again am remembering why I left frontend development in the first place.

Ah, javascript.

Knowing full well that this is going to attract the "you're not a real programmer" crowd, I give you: the average experience I have when learning new things.

Playing around with socket.io, oak, deno, the node crypto lib, and typescript.

The most anti-American spy agencies and propagandists are American social media companies and tech CEO's.

I can't even login to Facebook anymore without being instantly presented with Pro-Trump shit I never subscribed to. It's literally the first thing I see, EVERY time.

The thing I've been calling "method overwriting" for 10+ yrs is apparently called "monkey patching" in Real Computer Science™

We have "method overloading" for when a function can have multiple diff args in the signature, but it's MONKEY PATCHING for overwriting a func at runtime..?
