I was going to say that it looks like a fuchsia of some kind. My plant ID app says it’s an 85% chance that it’s something called cape figwort, Phygelius capensis. Next most likely at only 5% probability is cape fuchsia, Phygelius aequalis.

I’m probably ND, definitely did stuff as a kid that falls into the autistic category, but didn’t have problems with social cues or expressing emotion, but knew I was different *very* early on. I just look at stuff like this and can only think it’s their loss, this reality they live in.

Meta is leaning into the idea of Prometheus as its huge AI center instead of seeing it for the cautionary tale that it is. It made me think about how when Zuckerberg decided to name the company Meta and “the Metaverse” he was leaning into the metaverse in the dystopian world of Snow Crash.
