In 2024, I think there was a great deal of tactical voting. In my area LibDems had no chance, but Labour did to oust the Tories, voted Labour. I would like to make it mandatory voting, no Plc parties, very strict rules on donations( even consider tax payer funding only), no second jobs for MPs.

Might encourage more people to vote, if your vote has meaning.

Unfortunately, not much you can do about that, but it would have reflected the vote better & if you can show your vote has a meaning, then that's better for democracy.

It will also benefit many other parties, Greens,mLib Dems, Raving Looney etc. Depends how it is operated.
