Wings sprout from his back in mass, growing upwards and to the sides and importantly, around Wolfwood, who he holds upright with his feathers. Wolfwood, bloodied and injured, has his right hand over Vash’s shoulder and gripping at Vash’s back, into the bundle of feathers while his left hand is lifted outwards and feathers are wrapping around his palm and fingers, as though his hand is being held.
