When I get confounded in genealogy, I like to go back to the well. The ancestry that has so much information to read/learn.The Storm family from the Netherlands came to Westchester Cty, NY. Makes me want to go the Netherlands and explore. And then I want to say,"I am the Storm!" 🙃😉 #genealogy #Storm

Does anyone know what the in person headcount was for the #rootstech conference? I don’t judge crowd sizes very well. Just wondering. 💭

Just out of class w/ Duff Wilson of Family Tree Maker Software. There are some great new features coming to FTM2024 and what was most impressive was the heartfelt nod to all staff of Software MacKiev who reside in Ukraine and continue to produce even in the face of hardship during war. #Rootstech

Basically in #genealogy writing you should document any statement that's not common knowledge. That's a recent tip--actually a reminder. Actually citing statements can be a great brick wall breaker. genealogytipoftheday.com/index.php/20...

I can't get one chore out of my head. Seemingly unimportant deeds from 100+ years ago from my Great Grandfather, Roscoe. He had his hand in many things, land being one of them. Those deeds don't seem to have connections to me or our history, per se, but they need to be documented. Must get started🐢

What do #genealogy folks like most about this platform? I am trying to get more friends on here. I love the great content and conversation, minus all the chaos of other platforms.
