My neighbour’s rooster is a pirate king so I made him some finery. (A large bleach bottle is useful as a chicken dressmaker’s dummy.)

I dressed as a flapper for Halloween and went to work (not to Mar-a-Lago.)
Middle-aged me with a pink bob haircut with short bangs, a faux fur jacket open over a black scoop-neck dress, a long string of faux pearls wrapped once around my neck and the remainder hanging long with a knot. I have on my name tag and my key lanyard!

My dad’s been dead for 25 years, but I think of him often. One of the things that reminds me of him is butterflies, especially mourning cloaks, and there was one waiting for my on the stairs when I got home from work!
