No #bikesatpollingstations photo, as it's easier to walk.

Checking ID (I used my driving licence, and they made me remove my mask) certainly slows things down, but this one's always quiet during the middle of the day.

After a rant involving a badly timed Reform party campaign bus, I wondered if it wouldn't be better if we banned them in favour of campaign trains. "Rail network not good enough for your campaigning? Fund it better..."

Anyway, this naturally lead to wondering which locomotives each of the […]

Between switching my MIL over to @aaisp@social.aa.net.uk and disconnecting some distinctly dubious extension wiring, the internets at her house are better than they've ever been. Tomorrow's job is to sort the VOIP phones out and finish running cat5 for decent WiFi at […]

Can someone help me find a (fediverse?) post please.

It was of an old computer which was booted up in 2023(?) and was complaining that the date was ludicrously wrong.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Made a sacrifice to @Anoia@mendeddrum.org by adding more self-untapping screws to the kitchen drawer runners so it doesn't keep working loose and getting stuck.

The problem with #audax is having to get up at audax o'clock after a night of inevitable poor sleep.

Loitering within (big) tent with @NatalyaD@disabled.social at the York Cycle Rally (Note for the other half of my timeline: It's a bit like EMF, but with bikes instead of radios.)

No thanks to some franky ridiculous hayfever, and a hire van with a b0rked synchromesh.

Will be staffing the […]

(Whoever you think this is about, you're wrong.)

It's a weird aspect of living in the future that you can feel so connected to your peers - yet so distant.

Sometimes, people die. People who you had no idea existed. People who mean nothing to you.

And your whole social circle goes into […]

And home. 140something km, including some of the Peak District's finest bastard hills. And the Manifold Way, which is very pretty and conveniently links the Middle Of Nowhere to Nowhere Parkway. While carrying an excess of water courtesy of a soggy tent, but as far as I can determine, no actual […]

In my sleeping bag (with a freshly-emptied bladder) just as the tent starts making rain noises. #timing

Loitering within tent with the ALC at Clitheroe (which my GPS keeps truncating to. 'clit'). Unexpectedly good weather this afternoon/evening, but I expect it will turn soggy overnight.
