"Putin" and "good faith" do not belong in the same sentence. Unfortunately the West is full of hopeful fools and idiots who want to believe in fairytales.

I think we should recognize Orbanist (tiny putinist) Hungary has no place in NATO, EU or any democratic coalitions or alliances.

Could title news "Senile old man swayed by this or that today, tomorrow maybe something else"
July 24, 2025 at 2:29 AM
Unfortunately the "this cannot happen here" is a mindset that has gotten, and will continue to get people, companies and countries in trouble throughout history. Anyone worth their salt already knows people are people, otherwise they would be something else.

Europe has totally dropped the ball with Georgia.
June 24, 2025 at 10:28 AM
To be fair here Trump is at his most consistent, if Europe where the war is doesn't do what needs to be done why would the USA from across Atlantic? I haven't heard anything decisive from Macron and Starmer after the idiocy with peacekeepers, did they realize they have a war to win first?

No one was complaining much about those executive powers in foreign policy until they inevitably started to seep into domestic policy. But one can ask if it really is an issue of powers or the dictatorship loving administration that spits on laws, appeases on world stage and wages war domestically.

Last chance, then another, another, one more, then begging for deal by appeasing Iran and eventually letting them have nukes like US did with North Korea. Anyone who thinks there is 1% of strength in that coward is a moron.
June 16, 2025 at 8:46 PM
For all the America first-bluster Trump is actually the most European leader of the US in decades. He's all talk, all about negotiations without end, appeasement without goal. Absolutely toothless old man.
June 16, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Since Europe loves appeasement I think we should appease Putin with Hungarian land, Hungarians seem to love their Putina Orban so much already.

Not all of that 4k km is equally vulnerable though. Cheap manned platforms, drones, there's ways to increase our eyes on potential perpetrators of sabotage. It will never be perfect so to compliment it we need real consequences, deterrence works but won't come free.
June 16, 2025 at 6:36 AM
Now with the increased funding we could enhance our detection capabilities dramatically, add platforms and personnel rather quickly but the question for Europe always remains the "then what?" If we see Russian "research vessel" above our vital comms cables, what do we do about it.
June 16, 2025 at 6:16 AM
That's why many in Eastern Europe are doing everything they can to keep Trump in on European security, Western Europe hasn't proven any more reliable and at least Trumpian USA still carries the big stick even if the TACO is extremely afraid to use it, Europe is even more unwilling.
June 16, 2025 at 5:48 AM
Yes, but there's ways to make risk assessments and act accordingly, only the strategically important parts need tracking and protection. Somehow I get the feeling it's just easier not to see some things so we don't have to act, easier to shrug afterwards and say "could do nothing".

Pretty on-brand for The Moscow Post
June 15, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Says EU but we all know what Putin's puppets we have never dealt with who will oppose it and it's essentially just whitewashing. "We would but.." is the Europe we all known for decades. Orban was always appeased because he is a convenient excuse.
June 14, 2025 at 9:44 PM
I really fucking hate this timeline, absolutely cursed.
June 14, 2025 at 8:10 PM
That's what a successful decapitation strike does. Israel is also facing a dilemma as they always struck back much harder to keep up their deterrence but they are starting to hit the limit of what their conventional forces can do in terms of damage.
June 13, 2025 at 7:55 PM
I doubt Trump has the balls unless Iran is shown to be even weaker. They'd have to commit to real destruction of the nuclear program, a task that cannot be left whenever TACO chickens out. Really hard to see that happening unless pressure from hawks in US is massive.
June 13, 2025 at 7:35 PM
It's the Russians, they say one thing of outrage yet smile because of the rising oil prices.
June 13, 2025 at 11:35 AM
Witkoff and Trump is such a combination of ineptitude and empty barking without any cashed in promises that this was more than expected. USA has emptied it's credibility on the world stage.
