At the end they break into the Black Bear. If you've marched to it you know.

This is the march-off after the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo as the bands head out of Edinburgh Castle - one of the coolest venues in existence! The performers here aren't doing this march for a show - they're doing this because they love it!

At the Sharp End - Tim Cook
This history of the Canadians in WW1 shows how a bunch of naive colonials became the most effective fighting force on the Western Front. It presents compelling personal stories and contextualizes the wider conflict to tell a story few outside Canada know.

He was one of the best of us - an Historian who didn't hide behind the myths but rather challenged us in how we interpreted our shared history. I've questioned his findings (usually to my own remorse) but never questioned his methodology. A true great.

too hard to choose - the legend or the prodigy fulfilled?

For too long the left has thought that somehow everyone would come to their senses and put this evil behind them.
They won't.
Its time to put away "proper"behaviour and descend to the level of your enemy so you can defeat them.
Just remember, you have to come back eventually.

That is perfection - I love the "fixins"; you couldn't have done a better job! I can almost taste those lemon potatoes...

Sadly, if she saw this she wouldn't get the reference, she would just think the cut of the uniform and emblems make her look great. The problem with the current Nazis is that they aren't aware of (or don't really care) what the preceding Nazis did. They just like the uniforms.

If the fish n chips are from Murphy's - put me there. Every day and twice on Sundays.

I make a wicked lobster roll (including homemade NE-style hot dog buns) and a good donair based on a local legend's recipe. But I've never even come close to the fish n chips from Murphy's in Truro.

You might want to contact the Shearwater Aviation Museum if you haven't already. They have a lot of information and media about him.

Writing a biography of LGen Larry Ashley - a naval officer who went from RMC naval cadet in 1955 to commander of Air Command in the 80s. Amazing guy - I interviewed him a few days ago. This guy was front and center for Canada's rise from surface warriors to ASW experts during the cold war.

YES, and the Iranians (and much of the world) will not see them as terrorist attacks but rather justifiable counter-attacks. The US committed an act of war against Iran without warning or a formal declaration of war. In other words, the US just "Pearl Harboured" another nation. How did that end?
June 22, 2025 at 4:29 AM
I fear it won't just be US troops in the region. The US just attacked a sovereign nation without warning or a formal declaration of war. The US just did to Iran what Japan did at Pearl Harbour.
It only stands to reason that Iran will view the citizenry of the US as a legitimate target.
