oh absolutely, i agree... i liked the "high off your own supply" part about the fiction of the 'non-real' online and how protest has become about symbolism and imagery and grandstanding platitudes about revolution rather than working and making any actual concerted progress toward anything

and it's interesting to see how the discussion is nowadays, and also how her writing on the indiesphere reflects a decade later... 'indie' especially feels like a non-term these days and that there isn't something that really captures the essence of the more fringe, like w/ 'alt'-rock in music today

excellent blog post, it definitely echoes a lot of the things i've felt both about my work and other peoples' relationships to the things i make... i have a constant egging worry that certain ground i may potentially retread may end up feeling very old hat, but perhaps it's not so bad...
