How anyone thinks this model is superior to European socialist healthcare is beyond me. ‘Murica, I guess. Yay, us. [insert flag waving]

Billing? Now, they’re on the ball. They’ve hit my insurance up before I get the report. That is, when I can even get results: I’m four phone calls deep and no one (except the billing people) can even find the test, now a month along.

On the specialist merry-go-round? God speed. There is no communication between medical offices, or at least no one reads a chart: I wind up rehashing my medical history with every medical professional I see. I’m going to get it tattooed on my chest and let ‘em read it there.

Want to rattle a cage about said test? Good luck talking to a human being. Phones go unanswered and voice mails ignored.

I pay out the nose for supposedly good health insurance; live in an urban area with plenty of large hospitals and medical practices on every corner; and still have to wait 6 months for very necessary tests. Six. MONTHS.
