There were a couple of repeat games, but mostly new ones and that’s good enough for me. Highlight was when they each had to make a cheese sandwich, and the closest to 470 grams wins.

And don’t worry: comments are switched on for this ad, and someone has correctly commented “get off-a ya face”

There _was_ a UK version - presented by Vernon Kay because it was ITV in 2008 - but it’s not appealing: prerecorded and only 75 minutes is coward shit. And having a different celeb each week isn’t as cool.

…which doesn’t suit my understanding of German stereotypes. Fortunately they make up for it by having a music question where the answer is Looking For Freedom by David Hasselhoff.

…going out live on prime time Saturday night, with an unknown runtime - because they play until they have a winner. One episode appears to have taken six hours, and I look forward to finding out how that happened.
In good news, the show is available on YouTube. In even better news, because it’s…

…I’m no expert in German culture, but Stefan Raab has had a lot of involvement in Eurovision (most significantly to me, he wrote Guildo Hat Euch Lieb) so I’m a bit aware of him. Just aware enough to make me even more excited about the concept of this very ambitious-sounding tv show…

My best guess was that I fell out of watching TOTP when you weren’t around to watch it with, but I’m not sure that quite makes sense.

Did i tell you about the time I was sat near a silent disco when they played Jump Around by House Of Pain?
The drop-off in singing after the first line was beautiful to hear.
