Funny thing is that the Time Stranger version is the one based on the official art for that digimon. So he's the OG one.

The fact you mentioned 'IRL story' easily singled out which boss you're talking about.
That was the only boss that forced me to use a different crest from the usual Hunter or Wanderer duo that I stuck with the whole game.
Maybe with tools that boss could be easier, but again, barely used those.

If the suggestion is to do one run from Bellhart to the destination while killing all enemies in the way, then head back to Bellhart and actually do the delivery, it's a good one. That's what I did on my end.
