My Letterboxd last four. I was mixed on the Nicholson POSTMAN but the Haynes MILDRED was great.

Really needed a mood-booster after the election and got it with one of my personal fav martial arts movies and one of the funniest movies of the 2000s.

It's been a very bad week but at least it's ending for me with a show by King Diamond, the heavy metal legend, who I've been listening to for nearly 20 years and have never seen live.

Martha Stewart is complaining that there isn't enough rap music in the new documentary about her, among other things. Celebrity doc subjects are increasingly thinking of documentaries as extensions of their brand instead of actual films made by people making artistic choices.

Why did it take me until 2024 to learn about the existence of ZEIRÄM (1991)? Wildly fun action-sci-fi-horror with amazing practical gloopy gloppy effects, puppetry, stop motion, etc. Thrilled to learn that there’s a sequel, which I will probably watch this week.

new prized possession alert: a poster for the documentary CITY HALL, signed by frederick wiseman himself, in a beautiful frame that a woodworker friend of mine made

letterboxd last 4 is quite mixed bag. so fine is just packed with inspired gags. frostbiter is enjoyable clunky diy midwest horror. the tom cruise mummy sucks. as good as it gets is quite a time capsule.

letterboxd last 4. part of me feels like i should have outgrown tarantino but after revisiting kill bill & basterds they're still so great. raw deal is minor arnold with some fun action. lifeguard has hot sam elliott & great vibes other than the statutory r*pe

last four on letterboxd since i haven't been in the mood to write any reviews.

forgot just how rancid the vibes are in casino. wet hot still rules. roar seems criminal and i'm glad no one died. beehive was pretty gorgeous arthouse cinema.
