There is no context in which "macaroni" was ever villainized. The accepted English name is cannabis. Marijuana was only ever idiomatic. It translates to Mary Jane. Look no further than Nixon or anti-drug propaganda from that era. I'm just trying not to fuel that ignorance.

Except "marijuana" is a name used to villainize the thing and associate it with somewhere foreign. Let's normalize calling it cannabis while advocating for it to be legal.
