Fun fact: twice in my life I've encountered a piece of art that hit me so hard I couldn't take my eyes off it for hours upon first seeing it.

1st time: 1996 when I saw this Philip Guston painting at The Met in NYC.

By the end of last week the crew had dug out around the edge of the basement to put in a new drainage channel for the new sump pump. The cats and I were offsite for the day they cut the concrete. :)

We're finally fixing up the basement that had bad water damage almost 6 years ago. New waterproofing, sump pump, drywall, and flooring. I get to be isolated upstairs with the cats all day behind a plastic barrier! Please make this next two months fly by, universe!

Spent the whole day raising money for children’s charities at a D&D event put on by Twinheim today. Had a blast with friends and did a little good with all the reroll tickets we bought to save our asses constantly!

The MN Zoo sure puts on a hell of an amazing experience!

I don’t put much of myself out on socials anymore (not that I did before). Bluesky has become my fantasy artist feed, which is pretty enjoyable, though.

Anyway, here’s a photo from Theodore Roosevelt National Park from our trip in August.

Our new goal has been to hit up all the Minnesota state parks to collect the stamps and acquire a plaque for our efforts. It’ll take us 2-3 summers to hit them all, but we crossed off Forestville/Mystery Cave yesterday. Natalie is good at finding wineries we can cool off at before heading home, too.
