Located at the Southern end of the NSW Central Coast on Darkinjung land, our mission is saving lives, creating great Australians and building better communities. Our main mission is ensuring everyone who comes to our beach on our watch, goes home again.
To all the Mums, Aunties, Step-Mums, 'It's complicated' Kinda-Mums, all the positive, wonderful female role-models who might not even know you were the Mum we needed in those minutes or years, we love you and are grateful for everything you do. Happy Mother's Day.

If you're looking for some action this weekend, head over to Ocean Beach for Round 1 of the 2025 Sharkskin NSW IRB Premiership Series.

All our sports are aimed at becoming better at our core mission, but if you ever have to get picked up it will be much gentler than what you'll see here!

Please take care at the beach now that patrols have finished. If you spot trouble, cal 000 and they will mobilise all resources including our call out team, but that will take some time. Visit sls.com.au/stoplookstay... to stay safe. The flags go back up September 27, until then please take care.

A blustery, choppy, cold way to end the season, but the flags are down on our 93rd and once again it's mission accomplished - everyone who came to Killcare on our watch went home again. Our deepest admiration and gratitude to all our members.

The forecast looks like we won't see this tomorrow, but it'll sound just like it when we bring the flags down on the 2024/25 season. Join us at 4pm to hear Clan Stevenson end our 93rd year of protecting our community & all who visit, and raise a glass to all the fantastic people who made it happen.

Congrats to Killy's own Luke Hayter (in green) and training mate Noah Nakagawa from Wamberal who ran the Stawell Gift yesterday. In the semis they missed a finals slot by only 0.025 and 0.022 respectively. Great effort fellas, now get your shoes off and get back on the wonky sand tracks!

It's been a disastrous start to Easter all up and down the NSW Coast and it would, without doubt, have been a lot worse if not for the volunteer army of red and yellow. We'll be out again today but honestly, the conditions severely limit what we can do to help. Please - Stop, Look, Stay alive.

If you haven't already, you will shortly receive an email from SLSNSW to complete the 2025 Member Satisfaction survey.

This is a sincere attempt at making the experience of all volunteers at all levels of the organisation everything it can be.

Please - take a few minutes and have your say.

If you're over Lobster Beach/Ettalong way Sunday morning, there'll be lots of activity but nothing to be concerned about; there is a branch-wide SAREX (Search and Rescue Exercise), with the parameters basically Broken Bay. RWC's, IRB's, UAV's, SMAR's, all the acronyms out in force!

As the season starts to wind down, this weekend we go to the last phase where you won't see the flags up until 11am. Don't worry though, we still have you covered - from 9am to 11am the Rescue Services crew will be looking out for you with a RWC (Jet Ski) and SMAR (gun swimmer) cruising the beach.

We were deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Mick Cook, President of Toowoon Bay SLSC, a tireless servant of Surf Life Saving with decades of service, passionate about his club and the mission we all share. Our heartfelt condolences to Mick's family and many, many friends.

Brilliant teamwork, utilising the unique skills and equipment we each specialise in. Need help with the bush? The RFB's got you. On the water? Yeah, that's our beat - great job Tony and Dan. And of course the fantastic NSW Ambulance are as good as it gets in mobile care. Nice work team.

As TC Alfred heads towards the coast, our thoughts are with all on the North Coast who look to be in for a rough time.
The large and damaging swells may reach as far as Sydney, at this stage it's forecast to lift up near 3m tomorrow and continue through to the weekend.

PLEASE take care everyone

On this day of celebration and remembrance, we wish all our LGBTIQA+ members and friends a very happy Mardi Gras.

Who you love, what's in your cossies or the colour of your skin is completely irrelevant. We all unite under the red and yellow.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Rosalie Nowland, a very active member of the club in the 50's.

Rest in peace Rose, every person rescued from the ocean has not just the hands of today's surf lifesaver on them, but the hands of all who came before us.

With the peak season behind us, our patrol hours for March are now 10am-5pm. We'll have the flags up, conditions permitting, but don't forget our emergency callout team is ready to scramble 24/7. If you see someone in danger, please call 000 and our full resources will be mobilised.
