#TunbridgeWells resident. Love our parks and green spaces. Trying an escape from X.
Many people who visit #DunorlanPark are not aware of the Victoria Cross Grove near the Bayhall Rd entrance. There was a poignant Remembrance Day service there today. Wreaths were laid at the monument commemorating the 10 VC holders with connections to #TunbridgeWells.

I was so sad today to see one of the beautifully painted utility cabinets in Calverley Precinct #TunbridgeWells badly damaged. No idea when/how it happened. Hope they've identified who is responsible.

#TunbridgeWells Hearing the distinctive mewing call of the Common Buzzard again. Used my Merlin App to check.

The cool of the evening after a very hot humid day in #TunbridgeWells. Beautiful sky.

Honoured to be able to contribute some of the history of the first female mayor Muriel Bury Wells #herstory #tunbridgewells Borough Council for Royal Tunbridge Wells Civic Society publication.

#TunbridgeWells people - lovely community event coming up on Sunday 22 June at #Hawkenbury Rec. Organised by Friends of the Rec. It's our 4th annual event organised by volunteers who love our local area. Lots to enjoy. 🤞 for good weather.

This afternoon I had a lovely time helping out at friends' Open Gardens event in #TunbridgeWells. I was dispensing tea, coffee and cakes. The visitors were so lovely and confirmed my view of what a great community we have. Lots of money raised for Hospice in the Weald and In Bloom.

How lucky we are to have so many green spaces within #TunbridgeWells town. Does any other town of similar size have such a variety? Each Park, Rec and the Commons has its own distinct character. Be nice if we had a "Green Chain Walk" guide for visitors. Maybe there is one already - anyone know?

Fun event coming up for #TunbridgeWells. There will be local food and drink vendors. Entertainment for all the family. St Peter's school choir, Taekwondo and Cascade dance demonstrations. Scouts' fun activities, cup cake decorating, craft stalls and more 🎉 Organised by Friends of Hawkenbury Rec.

This morning I visited Dunorlan Park #TunbridgeWells. I was amazed at the beautiful wild flower bed planted by the Monday Volunteers. It's been changing every few weeks and at its most beautiful now.

I'm absolutely loving these long early summer evenings and so happy to think it's another month to go before the Longest Day.

Loads of coffee shops in #TunbridgeWells & most other places but they don't have the smell of roasting coffee like Importers which used to be on Monson Road. Just back from a trip to Lancashire and it was a joy to find a combined coffee shop and roastery. e-coffee.co.uk/about-us/

Ten years since I bought a flat in #TunbridgeWells. It was a risk as I didn't know anyone here but loved the town when I had visited from Bromley or Brighton where I lived. So happy at how it has worked out. I've met so many wonderful people and made fantastic new friends.

Wonderful to see this family at Dunorlan Park #TunbridgeWells.

I love the view from my living room of beautiful trees in #TunbridgeWells. North facing so reflection of the sunset.

Tomorrow morning I'm on duty at Dunorlan Park #TunbridgeWells. Filling bags of food for the wildfowl. So many families look forward to feeding the ducks & geese & we hate to disappoint them. Our volunteers can't always keep pace with demand in fine weather but we try our best.

Beautiful wild flowers at Dunorlan Park #TunbridgeWells today.

Some disappointed faces at the #LocalElections2025 count at #TunbridgeWells and, of course, some very happy ones. Politics is so like football. Your team can be winning for years but then it all goes wrong & you're relegated.
So winners make the most of it and losers have hope!

I am so happy that in #TunbridgeWells we still have two independent department stores - Fenwick's & Hooper's. Hooper's is running a series of very enjoyable fashion shows. I've attended most and two more to go. They are free and they provide prosecco/soft drinks with lovely canapés.

Today, on behalf of Friends of Dunorlan Park, I attended a very uplifting ceremony where the Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table donated to 32 local #TunbridgeWells good causes. They raise the money from the annual fireworks display. So many volunteers doing great work for our community.

It's sad, but also surprising, that so many individual clothes and shoe shops have closed down. It's such a palaver ordering clothes and shoes online when sizing is so unreliable. Thank goodness there are still some lovely shops left in #TunbridgeWells but use them or lose them.

Beautiful carpet of flowers planted by the Dunorlan Park "Monday Volunteers". They do so much to keep this park in #TunbridgeWells looking great.
