I was surprised how fast-paced and modern this movie felt, apart from all the 'christ aren't women useless' misogyny I kinda expect from anything earlier than fuck. I dunno, 1990. Most horrifying part was learning the human flesh the zombies ate was ham covered in chocolate

Tonight's movie. Does a very good job of capturing a very niche genre of internet horror, both knowing people online and not being able to help them as well as ARGs. I like the ambiguity of the ending though I might have cut it right at the end of the final skype call.

Tonight's movie was Hellraiser 3. I love the first two a lot and I knew that was the point after which the quality goes off a cliff, but 3 still had a lot of charm. Also the Lament Configuration is basically a pokeball

Last night's movie was Dracula (1992, Coppola). I kind of love Keanu's bad accent and there was more monster fucking than I expected. It was interesting to watch this after watching Eggar's Nosferatu and the game of telephone going on between every Dracula adaptation.

last night's movie was Zombieland. i saw someone describe this as 'america's shaun of the dead' and that's probably a perfect summary. between it and 28 days later i dunno which is my fav zombie movie

Tonight we watched Cure (1997). I'm picking these with a random wheel so it's interesting how much one reminds me of Se7en, though much slower burn and mysterious. Noroi and Se7en were both more fun and actiony but this one is just a good dread-filled mystery.

Last night we watched Se7en (1995). Think I'd only seen clips of it before. It's a complete copaganda fantasy but I'm such a sucker for grisly crime thrillers (this, True Detective S1, Silence of the Lambs, etc)
