the gameplay is more "linear" especially in the first 3 games,where basically you don't have any complicated objective like in SW.
I know the third and fourth SB has the some gimmick on their stages but not on the same level as Koei's games.

This might be a suprise to you,but in where i live the Sengoku Basara games are more popular than DW/SW Games because of their more "accessible" gameplay.
