I'm slow to start this year but it was too fun to draw @duckomato.bsky.social! I've been battling my perfectionism so I just put on some music and let this happen. I hope you like it Duck and let's karaoke some time!

Day 2 of #MeowMay Starburst! I do not know nor understand the situation that the cat is purrturbed about. I coloured it like Starburst sweets because why not?
A deep blue cat face sticks out from the upper middle of a brightly coloured Star shape, implying a starfish. The cat has a bright green tuft of hair on the top of its head and is both deeply upset and angry about something we can't possibly comprehend. The star is filled with a blend of pink, red, orange and yellow, mimicking the colours of Starburst sweets.

2018 to 2023

Interestingly, 2018 was the first time I had ever tried to line digitally, previously I had only ever coloured. Now I generally do my entire process in digital.
The image shows the Pokemon Mimikyu but impersonating a bulbasaur instead of a pikachu. The background is white with a grey wash over it and a dark shadow under the pokemon. A Bluecap Fairy stands in front of a mine tunnel, pointing down the tunnel with enthusiasm. The fairy has big and wild hair which glows like a blue flame, their yellow eyes also glow in their child-like face. Their skin is a mint green and their ears long and pointy. They are wearing a simple cloth shirt. The mine is being held up by wonky looking wooden supports and there is a large rock to the right of the Bluecap with many smaller ones scattered around. Further down the tunnel it appears to curve out of view, around the corner something is glowing with a bright blue light. Is this what the Bluecap is pointing you to?

An inhaler attached to a spacer is sitting amongst two ribbon banners with small flowers placed around it. The inhaler is a light blue with a silver canister and the spacer is transparent except for a dark blue stripe at either end. The ribbon banners are yellow with a purple text on them. The text on the ribbon above says “I need some” and the one underneath says “Space”. The small flowers have thin stems that branch off in all directions, at the end of each piece is a small puff ball of a flower that is a deep pink in colour. The overall colours feel soft and slightly retro.

Thank goodness, here's my artwork of the Uma "Spring" from the manga Undead Unluck. This is the piece that made me feel comfortable in Clip Studio.
A demon skull is smiling with cherry blossoms floating around it. The skull has small tusks, smiling eye sockets and two horns either side of the top of its head. It has short tufty pink hair which takes the shape of cherry blossom petals and two long flowing sections of hair that descend from where its ears would be.

The Ceffyl Dŵr is a spirit that assumes the shape of a horse. It inhabits waters throughout Wales and entices travellers to ride it. It will either carry its rider very quickly over a great distance, or it will fly into the sky and turn into mist, dropping the rider to their death.
A horse rears up from within water, its mane and tail flow like a waterfall and its body is dappled with blues and greens like the surface of a pool. It appears to be made entirely of luminescent water. Its eyes are deep and sparkled like an aquamarine gem.

The Bluecap of English folklore is a miner’s best friend if treated correctly. The blue flamed fairy points out rich deposits in the mine and can toil for long hours with their enormous strength. They expected to be paid for their work but would accept no more or less than owed.

Ankou are found in France and are often depicted as a large skeleton. It is said that the last person of the year to die in a Parish becomes the Ankou for the next one. They guard the Parish souls and also collect the dead in their cart. If you hear its wheels then you're next-
