Also I hate anything with the message that you should overlook all the traumatic stuff your parents did because they also did some generic parent stuff too

(And by serious I mean like significant ongoing mental health problems that you’re not treating, not like you had a personal tragedy/loss and need help, obviously)

Maybe I’m a jerk but it consistently always seems to be that the people who “can’t do therapy” but do want my knowledge and empathy who also mysteriously vanish at the slightest request for reciprocity

But as an adult I see nothing wrong with “excluding” people you don’t like from your home and personal social circles and think that using discernment in who you spend time with and listening to your gut on feel comfortable around is wise.

Seriously though for me its a meal prep schedule that I’m almost religiously devoted to and the attitude that since I don’t wear glasses in the shower and can’t see any dirt, it therefore must always be clean, right?

All your friends have kids and after the apparently one time a year when it’s not nap time, tummy time, screen free Montessori toy enrichment time and you actually hang out, you go home your living space looks great by comparison?
