I haven't played it but everything I've read and heard from avid fans is that Scarlet and Violet really is this, and its really really good, it just looks like shit and plays like shit because of the hardware. Arcerus Legends even more so. I think w/ proper hardware, we're there.

You guys talk about Ring Fit Adventure's IR reader support being impacted but don't even mention the fact that the Ring Fit Adventure ring controller specifically requires the rail connection style that the Switch 1 JoyCons use. JoyCon 2s won't be able to connect to it at all.

We’re REALLY hoping to see Escapes and Protects turned into their own movies from the same studio! They would be so cinematic and epic to be realized on screen as the first one was. Hey Peter! Reading this trilogy to my family was one of my greatest joys of fatherhood. We all enjoyed them tremendously, each more than the last. The whole family saw the movie twice in theaters as well, how lucky you are to have received such a wonderful theatrical treatment of your amazing story.

Yall need to stop mentally framing this as “what does Nintendo have to lose by announcing now” and instead use “what do they have to gain by not waiting as close as possible to the release”. The leaks have spoiled nothing actually interesting, they are ultimately meaningless. Let them cook.

There is absolutely no functional difference from a marketing perspective or sales perspective (assuming at least some supply side constraint exists) from them announcing in Jan, Feb, or March if the console doesn’t launch until late April. Ergo, it will be the latest (March). Biggest PR impact.

Would be an unforgivable mistreatment of those games otherwise. They are masterpieces and they better be preserved for generations at modern standards.

The whole thing is extremely reminiscent of a new iPhone reveal, with case makers leaking physical design changes sometimes months in advance, and supply chain analysis informing the specs. It makes me wonder if Nintendo is going to play it like Apple and reveal it only a couple of weeks before sale

What if at this point they just pull an Apple and wait until 2 weeks before it goes on sale to even talk about it
