I'm not a SNAP recipient so I have trouble standing firm without being in their shoes.

However, this looks a lot like negotiating with terrorists. Republicans held the vulnerable population hostage, and those Democrats paid the ransom.

Republicans found a strategy they will forever use now.

Execs should be in prison, but that doesn't happen in the USA no matter how egregious the crime committed.

Drones are hard-wired to avoid signal jamming. After the drone explodes, those cables litter the ground along the flight path.

He'll probably cry about it and blame anyone but himself.

I don't think we will find common ground on this issue. How about we both just agree that Putin is an asshole and we go on with our lives?

2600 left voluntarily, plus 841 facing forced deportation, out of 30,000.

3,441.

From the article that was posted.
October 12, 2025 at 8:19 PM
So every single Asian, African, and Latinx, and Arab passed the test, but 3500 Russians uniquely did not?

Well, if they left Russia, it's conceivable they don't love Putin any more than you or I do. I am worried about anyone being sent to a brutal dictatorship.
October 12, 2025 at 7:26 PM
If that is the situation, why is the article only about Russians?
October 12, 2025 at 7:09 PM
That logic makes sense in the case of peaceful, willful migration. However, the circumstance of a violent dictator fundamentally changes things, in my opinion.
October 12, 2025 at 9:13 AM
I don't see in the shared article that effort vs lack of effort was established. What is the basis for your assumption?
October 12, 2025 at 9:11 AM
Okay, then go, and enjoy.
October 11, 2025 at 2:41 PM
So the question is, is that what is going in in Latvia? That these deportees are not making a good faith effort and did not denounce Russia? I read the article and it painted a different picture to me. To put bluntly, it felt like a racist situation with the requirements were quietly changed.
October 11, 2025 at 2:35 PM
Why do you assume they are arrogant and feel that Latvia owes them something? Of course langauge can be learned with effort, but it is quite hard. I am trying to pick up a language as an adult in my current country of residence and it is quite difficult. If I had a family, I'd find it impossible.
October 11, 2025 at 2:26 PM
What is your level of proficiency? A1, B2, C1, etc? When did you start learning?
October 11, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Do you know a second language?
October 11, 2025 at 1:58 PM
If that is the problem, is returning them to Putin the best solution? Why give him more people to conscript into his war machine?
October 11, 2025 at 1:51 PM
If that is the case, why is it an immigration issue instead of a military issue?
October 11, 2025 at 1:47 PM
I kind of don't like the idea of preventing people from fleeing their dictators, though.
October 11, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Thanks for confirming you are full of shit. I will waste no more time on you. Farewell.
October 8, 2025 at 6:31 PM
Then Republicans would have been better to do nothing.
October 8, 2025 at 4:56 PM
I can throw reasons why Biden didn't release as much as you say he should have, but talking about that is a red herring to the current situation.
October 8, 2025 at 4:54 PM
So what is the Republican goal of the publicity stunt of stopping the Democratic effort to subpoena the Treasury Department?

You complain that I am off topic, but you are responding to my comments and not the other way around.
October 8, 2025 at 4:52 PM
Nothing you said is at all related to any plausible justification for blocking the Democrat Congresswomen's push to release the files.
